An absolutely brilliant idea!

Found this article, I just couldn't agree more, a brilliant idea that should have been done ages ago!!
I'm expecting lots of negative comments, but I don't care.

"Set up special villages away from normal folk for 'scum', says Wilders"

Persistent troublemakers should be kept away from the rest of the population in special ‘scum villages’, Geert Wilders, leader of the anti-Islam PVV says in an interview with the Telegraaf on Thursday.

‘Repeat offenders should be forcibly removed from their neighbourhood and sent to a village for scum,’ Wilders said. ‘They will then be put into converted containers as homes. If juveniles are involved, their families should be moved too. Put all the trash together.’

They would only be allowed to return after working or studying for at least a year, Wilders said.

According to the Telegraaf, the idea comes from Denmark, where several cities have set up ‘skaeve huse’ to house people who cause a public nuisance.

There have already been several small-scale experiments in the Netherlands, including in Amsterdam, where several shipping container homes were set aside for persistent offenders.

Actually I agree ...

I've seen what anti-social behaviour can do to people and fully support (why oh why did it have to be Wilders, I hate the man) this move.

Why should the Shameless cause untold misery and make other people's life hell just because they think they are getting away with it - chuck all the noisy neighbours with loud music, feckless drug dealing parents with their attack dogs in the same place and let them fight it out. In the end they will all fall out, as they always do cause they have so little in their lives every tiny little so called 'disrespect' is blown out of proportion and they end up turning on each other like rats.

I also don't care how unpopular this idea is amongst people who have never had to live with un-social behaviour, and have no idea how it can ruin your life.

It's about time neighbourhoods got together and went out in force to stop this minority who think they can rule the streets - people need to grow a pair and stand up against thugs and gangs.

This idea is merely cheap rhetoric because in three weeks we will have elections for the provinces.

Wouldn't they end up sending a lot of thier own supporters to these 'scum' villages?

I don't in any way or form support this vile man or his anti-islamic views, but I do agree with the sentiments of this scheme. The Shameless lot are so in-bred they don't even have political views or understand what is going on beyond the few streets they are 'ruling'. On the whole they are normally indigious white folk with their national flag visible everywhere, including the tats on their necks.

Such areas already exist, they tend to be populated by people whose parents are cousins and have a mosque within walking distance.

Very few decent folks call such areas home.

My old neighbour was pretty decent too. Quieter than our new non-Muslim neighbourhood on New Years Eve, that's for bloody sure...

Well I did say few, and whether you are decent.
I'm no longer convinced after your recent anti-Semitic behavior.

Then again Amsterdam-West is known for it, only last week did a rabbi dare to venture out in to Amsterdam-West.

The result? for sure! trouble, how naive of the good man.

I've never been 'anti-semitic' - besides,even if I did, are you really in a position to criticise anyone for making comments about certain ethnic or religious groups ?

And I wonder what would happen to any palestinian who decides to go for a stroll in a jewish settlement in israel...something of the same probably.

And I'm a little irritated (though slightly amused) that you accuse me of prejudice.
There was a docu last night called 'The Most Dangerous Man in Europe?' about Wilders.
Amazingly there are far-right jewish groups who give him their total support - along with millions of dollars per year.
There was a young jewish bloke (with a haircut scarily similar to Hitlers) from Jewish Task Force who actually looked more like a member of a neo-nazi group.

It leaves me quite exasperated....
I mean its a perfect example of how fcked up the world is.

My point is - jewish people are totally capable of being just as hateful as any islamic extremist,fundamentalist,fanatical group that you are so keen to shout about.

Mindless hatred is mindless hatred no matter what packaging it comes in.
I actually feel pity for any hateful people - it must be a heavy burden to carry - all that hate in ones heart.

Actually, if you check the comments from that Dutch News story, the original Danish model for this is so different from Wilders' interpretation of it, that he'd probably disapprove of it in the end...

If it's an idea coming from Wilders, we all know who he's talking about. I actually looked up an article about the Danish model and while it seems very benign, anything coming from Wilders does not. It's just his normal rhetoric to stir up hatred towards others and it's disgusting. He'll say anything to get his name and message of hatred in the news.

Ha ha! I was actually going to say that!! Probably half his cabinet would be perfect candidates. And out of his supporters, I'm sure there could be whole towns of shipping container houses filled up -- starting with the town of Almere. But, has anyone asked the perfectly sane question, of what happens in these "speical areas"? Would there be supervision? Would there be schools for children? Would children live there with their parents? Who gets to decide what is "anti-social" behavior, etc?

They really lost it. PVV thinks big grazers (hope that that is the right word) should be deported to their own countries. Konik horses to Poland, Scottish Highlanders to Scotland, etc.
But there is one glimpse of hope: A quick look at the comments made by the readers of the krant van wakker nederland makes me think most people agree that they really are taking things too far.
