I'll admit I'm out of the loop about Brussels happenings so I just have this silly question about what's going on this morning on Blvd. de L'Empereur - also, I see no news of this event on expatica's news today.
A gathering of men wearing orange, some green, etc., are massed on Blvd. de L'empereur tossing out pop bangs and tooting VERY Loud horns every several minutes. This has been going on since 7:00 am and it's now almost 9:00. They seem to be just basically hanging around (the usual) and excited about...something. Stupid me, I have no idea what alleged suffering they are undergoing in their lives, and since I am suffering along with them by having to listen to the blaring horns, I have to wonder wtf. Is Luxembourg about to invade? France? the Netherlands?
Help me, help me. Enlighten me as to what is going on, s'il vous plait . I want to take this seriously although the event looks more like a bunch of 6th graders armed with fireworks and noisemakers just having some fun.
I'm already stressed about the US election and this is inconvenient to my peace of mind in the early morning hours. If this is some kind of call for a strike action, it doesn't truly seem to be too effective, but what do I know....
