  Does anyone know what's happened to the BBC teletext? Ours suddenly disappeared sometime ago, I thought it was a fault on the TV but spoke to my friend on the ground floor and she told me that her TV doesn't show any BBC teletext either... Irritating but I'll get over it as we're going for SKY+ soon, well, eventually anyway. Just wondered why it suddenly went... we use UPC at the moment.

  lol it 'disappeared' years ago! they did put up a notice saying they would discontinue ceefax/teletext. i no longer have cable but i do remember this.
  
  for news in Engrish everyday i listen to BBC World Service programmes instead. and on the bike i listen to news on BNR. this station has [besides adverts] only news, no bloody music.

  No, no, no... it was working about a month ago, though even prior to that it would occasionally come and go but I can assure you that it did work properly. We live in the north of the Zaanstad area... I haven't read anywhere where it was said to be being discontinued, only that 'full' teletext wasn't available outside the UK.
  Hey, actually a form of it does work because we can still get the subtitles on 888. So, why would that only work I wonder. Stupid nonsense I tell you...
  
  Oh, we don't have BBC World service either. Oh well, roll on SKY+... I very rarely listen to the radio these days and when I do, it's usually only in the car. SKY FM... which is quite good really.
