  Hi all,

   

  A quick question- I've just received my permanent residence permit, but unfortunately my relationship seems to be ending as well.  My question is this- how much of a risk do I have if we do split up and I end up moving out?  Perhaps it's paranoid of me, but I'm concerned flags will be raised if I end up deregistering from this address a month or two after receiving my permanent residence permit.  Am I being completely insane or should I wait a while before moving out?  It's not a nasty breakup thankfully, so that's not an issue.

  If you've got the permit in your hand, you're free to move out, as far as I know (the only issue might be leaving the country but a lawyer would advise you better than forum users).
  
  From experience, if you have the opportunity to take your time moving out, make the most of it! Acting quickly might find you in a less-than-desirable new home (too expensive long-term, poorly maintained, bad area, etc).

  Once you have the permanent residence permit .. your residency is no longer dependant on your partner or a KM permit etc.
  
  They don't care if you move and register at another address 1 minute after to gain this residency though so you are free to move out.
  
  If you leave the country there are some rules about losing your perm. residency - so check that out.
