Greetings Expatica community!
I'm planning on moving to Germany in June of 2013 with my girlfriend, a native of the town of Bösel. I was wondering if any of you Americans or English-speaking expats living in Germany have any insight regarding where I could start looking for gainful employment.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in the fields of Political Science and German language. I've been speaking German for about 6-7 years now. I have been working various jobs in the past two years, primarily in the fields of administrative assistance.
I know that I can start getting my work visa/permit together here in the States before June (since I live close to Washington DC and the German consulate there). However, I'd also like to get a head start on finding a job as well!
Do any of you good people have any ideas or direction in regards to my job search? Anybody in need of a young American with outstanding written/spoken English skills, great written/spoken German skills, and extensive experience with computers?
Any information or direction would be awesome. Like I said, I won't be moving to Germany until June of 2013, but I'd love to get things rolling before then.
