Well, I've complicated everything else in my life by moving to France and raising Franco-American kids... Why not my last will & tetament, as well ?
My situation is probably too complicated for anybody to field right here, but here it is, any help or advice would be appreciated : I was born and raised in Connecticut, but I no longer have a real adress there (except for pureliy administrative purposes, at my sister's), and I file taxes as a foreign resident. I have some mutual funds (not much, but it's all I've got) held via an American bank, and this is what I would like to bequeath to my wife and kids if and when I kick the bucket.
There are inexpensive on-line services, but I am concerned that the state or federal gov't could render my will invalid after my death based on some technicality...
My wife is French, my kids all have double nationality. Don't think that changes much, but there it is.
Thank you,
Tom SMITH
