  Hello.

   

  I was warned that it would be nearly impossible to find an apartment via the internet, and the warnings were correct.  I'm moving to Amsterdam in about three weeks, and have yet to secure a long-term rental.  At this point, I think I will have to look for something short(er)-term, and start a search in earnest as soon as I arrive.

   

  So, if anyone has any ideas of where, specifically, to look for short-term rentals - or, if anyone HAS a short-term rental - please let me know!  I'm single, professional, VERY quiet (and need something very quiet), financially stable, and mature.  No pets, no smoking, no parties.  Sounds dull, doesn't it?

   

  I will be working in the centrum, so would like something within a half-hour commuting distance.  Biking distance would be grand, but I know that's probably not likely.  I'm from a big city, so I'm used to urban life - but prefer something safe (not too shady).

   

  I prefer ANYTHING on the top floor (or in a private house with no one upstairs).

  Hi there,
  I am looking for someone to sublet my house for 5 1/2 months while I am in Argentina. It's a two-storey corner house, so you only have neighbours on one side, and they are really great people. No pets, non-smoking, and it's a home I call the House of Goddesses, because it really is a haven of a place to return to each day. I am looking for a responsible, mature tenant and you are looking for a comfortiable home, so maybe we can help each other out!
  
  It's in the West of Amsterdam, there are 2 trams which take you to the city centre in abot 20 mins, it takes me 25 mins to cycle.

  And PS - as it's a 2 bedroom, if you are willing to share the hosue with someone that would halve the cost. I currently rent a room ta a housemate who is about to move out and we have plenty of space with two of us.

  Hi, and thanks for your response. Unfortunately, the rent is a bit high for me. Sharing isn't possible; I don't know anyone in Amsterdam (and like to live alone, anyway). Thanks again.

  Hi, I have a nice new studio corner appartment in Amsterdam with a great view, 5 minutes from the city centre by public transport. It is 65m2, has a luxery kitchen and a great view.
