You can report a thread apparently, but not an individual post? Stom stom stom. That's where spam usually lurks, like dirt under a fingernail.
I've always been reporting individual spam posts & not the whole thread... anyway, if no one bothers to remove it then I'll not bother reporting it. wesleynl (Feb 15 2011, 09:33 PM) said: > original post

Wasn't looking closely...okay...now I see the Report button.
I had something removed today, unless they deleted it themselves. But yeah, it's really hit and miss.
You've changed your avatar!

Now after all the replies, we can all agree, there is no culture in the Netherlands just bland food and cloudy, grey, depressive days filled with no stop sex and drugs with a sprinkling of Paul de Lion, Andre, Frans and so many reality, musical contests and let us not forget Lingo that caused an emergency debate in the parliment and side tract the law for latente nederlanders for almost two years and a Royal Family that thinks agent orange was named after them!

There is culture
There is no "no stop sex"

Ahem, I mentioned painters, and Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh are all included I guess...Im well aware that the Dutch have made a very important contribution to the world in that aspect. I , unfortunately for you Canucky, am a collector of European cinema and cant remember when I last watched a commercial piece other than childrens movies. There is NO relevant Dutch cinema. Of course there are great things produced in the NL, like well, all of Jos Sterling's work and things like Antonia's line, but you cant say its a lot, like Scandinavian, Italian and French cinema, that despite language/cultural barriers are well recognized by not only lovers of the art but average public as well. Not to mention volume of production, etc. So yes there is very good Dutch cinema, but not a lot of it. as a collector I struggle to name more than 3 or 4 Dutch films I have watched, I imagine average Joe can name but one. I guess the key word in my post was RELEVANT. Unfortunately, the NL has not produced any Bachs, Mozarts, Goethes, Hugos, Sheaksperes, Zolas, nor any Bergmans and Felinnis. That was the whole point.

For a religious bigot it must be hard to accept that gays have equal rights in this country.
Why would the gay community call me a homophobe if I also feel they can do what they want as long as they do not interfere with my belief.

Gay marriage is interfering with a belief?

One person's rights stop where the other person's right begin.

Sure it does. I am gay.

"Gay" = the right to abuse others?
pepec (Mar 6 2011, 08:50 PM) said: > original post
And the only one abusing was Gotaluvthedutch. It was all wrapped in nice words, but still it was bigotry. But apparently Bubbba thinks that it is ok to write things like that about gays.

You assume much, but know nothing. And ... you think your 'gayness' makes you entitled to some kind of enhanced rights.
pepec (Mar 6 2011, 09:05 PM) said: > original post
In the Netherlands I have exactly the same rights as everyone else. That there are undeveloped countries like the US were gays have less rights is not my problem.
pepec (Mar 7 2011, 10:43 AM) said: > original post
Good shot CW. Missed that opportunity. You are right, there is nothing enhanced about equal rights.
