  Does anyone know if there are any kiwi dentists working in the NL? Or alternatively can anyone recomend a dentist to me? I am asking in the kiwi thread because most NZ dentists work pretty much the same way and I assume other kiwis look for the same qualities in a dentist as I do - I have had a number of dutch people tell me about dentists and then discover they dont use anesthetics, and the one dutch dentist I have been to didnt do any x-ray just a visual inspection, I think he missed something! And personally I see NO reason to have to feel any discomfort during dental treatment, or maybe I was just spoiled with an amazing dentist in NZ ...
  
  So there are problems when someone makes a recomendation based on their own expectations and experiences when they are different to my own, so if any fellow kiwi can help with a dentist recomendation it would be great

  hopefully you haven't already tried another dentist because i can recommend the most amazing dental experience you'll ever have right here in amsterdam and with a kiwi dentist!

  They're located near the main entrance to the Vondelpark. A No. 5 tram will take you closeby (you can get out at the top of the Leidesplein and it's a close walk.
  
  The practise is extremely modern and clean. Their equipment, technology & methods are all state of the art. All of the staff are very friendly and professional and make you feel completely at ease from the outset. They're certainly as good, if not better, than any dental practise back home in NZ.
  
  I see a wonderful KIWI dentist there by the name of Petra Hofferman. She's a fantastic dentist. I'm sure you'll be most happy with the treatment you'll receive from her. She's a lovely, friendly person too which is important for a dentist-phobic like myself!!

  I have been so afraid of getting a treatment here that I took the opportunity to get checked in India, during my holidays. Today I want to keep my teeth as good as possible because of my phobia of dentist, so the better my teeth will be, the less I will need to go there...And I read your comment, I'm so glad to see that, I'm going to call them right away to ask for an appointment, thanks a lot!!!
