Free hour-long concert of choral music
The National Children’s Choir of Great Britain was founded in 1998 by Lissa Gray. Her vision was that talented young singers from throughout the United Kingdom would have the opportunity to work together and enjoy making music under the guidance of inspirational teachers. Since then the choir has grown from its original membership of 38 children to a group of more than 250 young singers aged 9 – 19.
Members of NCCGB have toured in Australia & New Zealand (2004), the USA & Canada (2008) and Italy (2012). They have also given concerts throughout Great Britain, including an appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015.
The 2016 Tour Choir is drawn from the Green Choir, who are the most advanced Junior group, and the Senior Choir.
