Stand-up actor, comedian and Shakespeare connaisseur Will Sutton hosts an evening of Shakespeare karaoke at the Badhuistheater, this month with the emphasis on the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet, with a "CSI" twist.
Starting in Act V, outside the tomb where all the bodies are discovered, the audiences learns in 21st century style exactly led to this tragedy: A twisted tale of love and hatred!
Doors open at 19.15 for dinner, with the karaoke festivities starting round 20.30.
The audience will be split into Montague and Capulet sides and is invited - indeed urged to take part, as Will will fire up the big screen with a wide range of familiar - and some not so familiar - Shakesperian texts, ready for unrehearsed dramatic recitation in karaoki fashion. Come and join in with the Shakespeare Karaoke!
Language no problem! (The performance is in English, albeit Shakesperian English).
