The InPlayers International Drama Group present the first of two evenings of theatre, featuring a selection of short plays by Noel Coward, originally presented in his collection “Tonight at 8.30.”  All three represent different episodes in different times and places, each showing that human relationships never were, are or will be simple or easy, and that love takes many forms.

On Friday 6th July the company performs two short plays: ‘Ways and means’ and ‘The astonished heart’. The following evening, Saturday 7th July they present a third play, ‘Still life,’ which will be followed by the classic film version of this play, ‘Brief Encounter,’ with Trevor Howard. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to discuss the differences and similarities between theatre and film version.  

All plays are directed by Alex McKenzie. and feature beautiful costumes and decors! The series´ first Amsterdam run on het Leidseplein was very well received, leading to this reprise offering audiences one final chance to catch this production of fine Englsih-language theater.
