'A trip through Syria and Lebanon’ (13-7 t/m 31-8)
‘Byblos (Lebanon) and Damascus (Syria) are seen as two of the oldest cities in the world.’ Syria and Lebanon both have a rich art history. Not just back then, but the art still has an important position within those countries.
The Arab House of Arts organizes in cooperation with de Bibliotheek aan de Vliet in Rijswijk: ‘A trip through Syria en Lebanon, with paintings by Theo de Feyter’. Theo de Feyter is an art historian and artist by profession. He has made several paintings of Lebanon and Syria that have been exposed worldwide. For an impression: http://www.kcb.nu/kunstenaars/schilders/feyter.html .
